Chi Rho Recognition
The Catholic Committee on Scouting Archdiocese of Los Angeles (CCSALA) has designed and produced a new "Chi Rho" patch to recognize those scouts who complete all four Catholic religious emblem programs – Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and Pope Pius XII.
Only a small percentage of boys who join scouting achieve the rank of Eagle and an even smaller percentage of Catholic boys earn all four religious emblems.
In the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, this award will automatically be presented to the Scout (free of charge) when verification of all the awards can be made. We will honor requests from other Catholic Committees on Scouting, but ask they accept the responsibility of verifying each Scout's awards.
The patch can be obtained for a cost $5.00, which includes shipping, by sending in the completed order form.

Duty to God
The National Catholic Committee on Scouting has created a unique
patch to commemorate the Catholic Membership Initiative. The
Duty to God patch
is not only colorful, but also beautifully fully embroidered, showing
symbols of our Catholic roots--crosier, cross, shield, youth ministry
commitment intertwined with the Boy Scout logo and the "Duty to God"
pledge. This is something every youth member and Scouter would be
proud to wear proclaiming their involvement with this program. It is
a wonderful endorsement from our members and would certainly be
admired by those not yet affiliated with our organization.
